A Walk of Faith

"Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness." Romans 4:3

Today  I have come face to face with some harsh opposition against the PROMISE God has given me. Do you have a dream or promise from God? Are you still waiting for Him to bring it to pass? I am confident that I am not alone today.  The wait can be long. The facts can and will stack up against the promise. Our feelings and emotions want to take over.  The reality of  today is screaming opposite of what God promised.  Temptation and discouragement are inviting us to walk down the path of unbelief.  Have you been there? Maybe like me you are there today.  It is at this very moment you and I have to make a decision to BELIEVE the TRUTH of God's Word over the facts of our circumstances.

 Don't Be Discouraged!

Now is the time we need the "lens of faith"  We need to put God's truth in our words and actions. We need to look to God, not at everything around us. Only then can we see what's really going on.  We have to believe that God is faithful to do what He has promised.  This is a TEST of our faith. Who are we going to believe? God or our current reality?  I choose to believe that God's TRUTH ALWAYS triumphs our reality. Remember Abraham? Wow! He and Sarah had a lot stacked up against them.  Listen to what is recorded in Romans 4:18-19:

"Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, "That's how many descendents you will have!" And Abraham's faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead-and so was Sarah's womb."

It goes on to say in verse 20 & 21

"Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises." 

I don't know about you, but that excites me, encourages me and challenges me to BELIEVE what God has promised!  I choose to believe that if He said it, then it will happen! I do not know how or when, but it will! It is not a matter of "if" , it is a matter of "when"! We must settle this again and again in those moments when Satan lies to us.  Satan comes to fight against the promise, BUT GOD! Nothing will or can stop the plan of God.  The reality is that it is not about you and I. It is about the Holy Name of God being glorified. It is about Him getting ALL the credit. It is so that MANY will come to HIM.  And in this process to the promise land, we are "growing stronger in our faith and bringing glory to God".  God cannot lie and cannot fail.  He is a promise-keeper!

  

  The verse above infuses us with renewed HOPE in our souls. We need to hold on and keep pressing forward. Move straight ahead unswervingly. God is reminding us in the midst of the raging waters, "I've got this. I've got you. I AM". Let's reset right now. God you are faithful!!! I do not know how you are going to bring it to pass but I KNOW He who promised is FAITHFUL!!!! God can be trusted to keep His promises!!! Praying for YOU 💓

Will you join me? This is a perfect time to pause and praise God for who He is and for His faithfulness to us! He is a good Father. Praise the Lord right now that IT WILL HAPPEN!! Praise Him for what He already has done, for what He is doing and what He is yet to do!! Get ready! Put Him in remembrance of His Word! Move forward in FAITH! Look for it and expect it!
